6 Tips for Promoting Your Work After You’ve Been Published

Here’s a quick roundup of some of the ways to promote your upcoming magazine  or wedding blog feature. If you aren’t sure how to go about getting your work published, check out our free guide on getting published.

Tip 1: Invest in a scanner so you can make pdfs of your features. This makes it easy to get the feature on your blog.

Tip 2: Send the bride, planner and venue a copy of the magazine so they can share it with friends, family and potential clients.

Tip 3: Mention the feature on your blog, website, Facebook and Twitter

Tip 4: After posting on Facebook, tag the couple and vendor team, so the feature shows up in their streams as well.

Tip 5: Ask the magazine if they offer extra magazines for you to share with potential brides. Sometimes they will send you a box of magazines, which you can mail to all your current leads-not only showcasing your work, but letting them know what great customer service you provide.

Tip 6: If you create pdfs of the feature, share these with the vendor team. Many vendors do not have the technical skills to figure out how to get a pdf from a magazine to place on their website or blog. By providing this for them, you are helping them build their own PR files. What a great way to develop a strong relationship.
