Great shot here, I’m am NOT a full time photographer. Are primary focus is graphic design and website design. I do however photograph products and events when I have the time.

I help a wedding photographer from time to time (as a second or third shooter) and my main use is taking shots like this.

Rainy day weddings can be one of the most challenging types of shoots for a wedding photographer, so having a backup plan is key. Just 2 weeks ago it POURED all over Northern CA, so unexpected for June (June!?!) but things happen.

I used to second shoot with Geoff, and the experience is very different. I think as a second shooter you have a lot more freedom to play and be creative, because the lead photographer is expected to capture the key moments, so often those are more of the “safe” shots, because you can’t afford to do something risky and possibly miss a key moment. A lot of our friends like to second shoot with each other on weekends they aren’t booked because you are exposed to a completely new approach to weddings, and you see a side by side comparison of your vision versus another photographer’s vision.
